EPCON has been committed for 35 years to develop the full potential of engineers so they can make a significant, positive impact upon the world they live in.  EPCON works closely with EPI Engineering to continually develop and refine EPCON's software products to meet the needs of their combined customer base.  Their new Process Innovator simulation software interface was recognized by Chemical Processing magazine for it's significant contribution toward more effective and efficient plant operations (2013 Vaaler Award).  The latest 9th edition of the API Technical Data Book is considered the Refiner's Bible for engineers working in the petroleum industry.

 

Current software development projects include fluid flow simulation, process simulation, flare simulation,  relief valve analysis, flash/mixture calculations, process equipment sizing and costing, and process equipment specification.  EPCON has received 4 Vaaler Awards from Chemical Processing magazine and 2 Product of the Year Awards from Plant Engineering magazine.

The National Thermodynamic Laboratory Inc. (NTL) is located at the Texas A&M University – Galveston campus.  NTL is a leading distillation and separations experimental laboratory formed by engineers and scientists with the goal of implementing innovative separation and purification technologies for the chemical and environmental industries.  As a technology developer and integrator specializing in applications that require extremely high purities or ones that involve extremely hazardous materials, NTL successfully finds solutions to any challenge.
