EPI develops a hydraulic model for each steam pressure level and each condensate system.  We use leak survey data and plant flow and pressure data in combination with the hydraulic model to determine the root causes of low pressure and low or choked flow in each of these systems.   An extremely accurate overall steam and water balance is developed from these hydraulic models.  From the field validated hydraulic models and steam balance we can determine the most cost effective approach to provide required design flow of steam to all users in the system and maximize the return of condensate.  This engineering intelligence is carried through the FEED, detailed design, procurement and construction management phases to help ensure significant improvements in energy and water conservation.
